Greg Isenberg builds community-shaped internet businesses and then talks about the process in public, at volume. He is CEO and co-founder of Late Checkout, a holding company that designs, incubates and acquires community-led products (his own about page).
His track record is exits rather than theory: he founded Islands, a community messaging app acquired by WeWork, where he then served as Head of Product Strategy; and 5by, a video discovery app acquired by StumbleUpon. He advised TikTok from 2019 to 2021 and Reddit from 2021 to 2023 — an unusual pair of vantage points on how consumer attention actually forms. He publishes heavily on YouTube, largely as long-form conversations about business ideas that could be built now.
The honest framing of his AI relevance: Isenberg is not an AI implementation consultant and does not present as one. What he is good at, and what people cite him for, is spotting where a new capability creates a business that could not previously exist, and being early to say so out loud. If you want help deploying AI inside an existing operation, he is the wrong shape. If you are trying to decide what to build at all, his back catalogue is a serious idea source.
