General Partner, Blitzscaling Ventures · Host, Llama Lounge
Jeremiah Owyang is a Silicon Valley analyst turned investor. He co-founded the technology research firm Altimeter Group and founded Crowd Companies, an industry association that ran during the sharing-economy wave (his own about page). His long-standing pattern is to identify a shift early, convene the people working on it, and publish what he learns.
He is now a General Partner at Blitzscaling Ventures, where he leads investments in early-stage AI startups, and he hosts Llama Lounge, a Bay Area AI startup event series that ran ten events in its first year and draws founders, investors and corporate AI buyers into the same room.
A correction to our own earlier entry. This site previously described Owyang as the founder of Kaleido Insights and an advisor to Fortune 500 companies on AI disruption. His current public biography does not carry either description, and we could not source them, so we have removed them. What his own page does say is Blitzscaling Ventures, Llama Lounge, Altimeter and Crowd Companies — and that is what this profile now says. His public output is mostly on X, where he posts on AI startup formation and, increasingly, robotics.
